Welcome! This page gives you an easy step by step visual how-to guide for subscribing to our podcast in iTunes.
Yes, you can of course just directly download the mp3 file via the links on our main page, but the benefits of subscribing via iTunes are multiple:
- iTunes will automatically download new episodes without you having to check this page regularly;
- it will also automatically transfer them to your iPod if you choose;
- and it also keeps the podcasts filed away where they belong rather than cluttering up your desktop!
- You don’t need to have an iPod to listen to the podcast or use iTunes, you can listen on your computer, or you can burn them to a CD – both directly from iTunes.
Step 1: Get iTunes
Download it for free for Windows or Mac here:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(then follow the installation instructions)
Step 2: Open iTunes
Too easy?
Step 3: Go to our iTunes page
Here: Black Forest Radio on iTunes
It should look like this: (click the pictures for a larger version)

If the link doesn’t work, you can always open iTunes, click the “iTunes Store” icon in the left hand panel, then type “black forest radio” in the search iTunes spot in the top right hand corner of iTunes.
Step 4: Click ‘Subscribe’
It right there next to our picture in iTunes!
Step 5: Set up your preferences for downloading episodes
Now click the “podcasts” icon in the left hand panel in iTunes.
This is what you should see:
You’ll notice at the bottom of the window is a button called “Settings”, click this to bring up the following window:
The choices are fairly self explanatory:
Check for new episodes: We recommend setting this to “Every Week” unless you subscribe and listen to lots of different podcasts.
When new episodes are available: We recommend setting this to “Download all” otherwise you run the risk of missing an episode if you don’t open iTunes for a while…it will only download the latest episode, possibly missing the one just before.
Keep: You can set this to anything you like, but if you really loved us, you’d set it to “All episodes”.
Click OK and you’re done!
